At the beginning of your baby’s milestones, professional photographs shoud be done in the first one to two weeks if possible. Milestones: three months, six months, nine months, the one year milestone portrait, toddler 18 month portrait.

NEWBORN – FIRST FEW DAYS

Because this magical stage of life passes in the blink of an eye, newborn portraits are captured during the first two weeks of life while your little one is well-fed, sleepy and content.

THREE MONTHS

The difference between the newborn portrait and the three month portrait is tremendous. At three months, babies are cuddly, chubby and full of fun smiles.

SIX MONTHS

When baby is ready for sitting but not yet on the go, we will capture him/her at the roly-poly happy phase, when those big grins and belly laughs are lighting up your life.

ONE YEAR
With a penchant for partying and hands ready to dive into that birthday cake, the first birthday is a greatly anticipated milestone in every family. Now is the perfect time to choose from our many, fun Baby’s First Birthday Party invitations which are included as part of the Baby Storybook Program.

THE EXCLUSIVE SESSION (in-studio or on-location)
We guarantee you will have a great experience during your hour long session in-studio or on-location. You will leave with unforgettable images that capture the spirit of your children and family to treasure for a lifetime.

BABY’S FIRST DAY OF LIFE (on-location)
Documenting the first day of your baby’s life is an unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. This session is done either at the hospital or at home if you had a home birth. It’s a quick photo-journalistic session intended on capturing your little ones first day of life and all their little details. Along with images of baby we will photograph your new family. (optional)

THE LIFESTYLE SESSION (on-location)
The Lifestyle Session allows you to capture one beautiful day in your family’s life. We include several hours of photographing your family using a photo-journalistic approach unprompted and unrehearsed. It’s a true storytelling of a day in the life of your family. (optional)

Because this magical stage of life passes in the blink of an eye, newborn portraits are captured as early as possible while your little one is still  sleepy and content. Margie will keep your due date on file and stay in touch with you as the exciting day approaches, making adjustments to fit you in at just the perfect time. Newborns are captured alone, usually in simple onesies, swaddled in your favorite blanket, or in their baby birthday suit (your choice). We will also take images with siblings and parents.

Your session will last approximately 2 hours. We have found that this is the required time in order to capture very unique images and give mom enough time to tend to baby’s needs.

What should we bring to our session?
Lot’s of cute hats, blankets and trinkets that are heirlooms or that you would like to be heirlooms. The studio offers a huge assortment of newborn hats, lots of blankets and fabrics, baskets, and accessories. Don’t worry if you don’t have too much to bring.

For parents wishing to capture an artistic ‘sleeping baby’ portrait we recommend coming to the studio prior to 3 weeks. We have amenities which make mom and dad feel very comfortable. There is no rush during the session so that mom can tend to baby’s needs and take some time-out for herself. Don’t worry, we always have things to do while you enjoy your time with us. We offer a private living room for mom to feed baby in comfort and privacy.
